Denhay Continues Winning Streak
The results of the Great Taste Awards have just been announced and Denhay has received a fantastic haul of 5 one-star awards, including one for their new Dry Cured Smoked Gammon Joint.
Managing Director, Jim Loescher said: “We are thrilled to continue this winning streak, after the success of the Taste of the West Awards in June, these Great Taste Award results are another fantastic boost to our business. Again it goes to show that the hard work and commitment put in by our dedicated team, really does pay off.”
“Looking at the results, there’s a clear theme of a return to simple and traditional artisan foods,” said Guild of Fine Food MD John Farrand. “This year’s lower total of three-stars, combined with the fact that only 31% of entrants actually receive an award, demonstrates just how robust Great Taste’s judging methods are.”
Denhay’s dry cured bacon and gammon, produced in Honiton, Devon, is made using only pork from outdoor bred British herds that are RSPCA Freedom Food accredited and receives the Good Pig Award for its higher welfare policies, along with a Royal Warrant from HRH The Prince of Wales.
