These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. 1. This promotion is only open to Great Britain residents (excluding residents of Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) aged 18 or over, excluding employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion. All winners of prizes and their guests must also be aged 18 or over. Please note that delivery restrictions may apply.

2. Internet access is required and entrants must have a public Instagram or Facebook account. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one in order to participate – you will require an active email address in order to do this.

3. Participants may enter no more than 4 times until the Closing Date. No automated entries permitted including but not limited to creating multiple accounts. Max one prize per person.

4. Any entries received from private accounts on Instagram or Facebook will not be entered due to privacy restrictions. To enter from a private account, participants must amend their account settings to a public account in order for their entry to be accepted.

5. You must continue to keep your social media account on a public setting for 4 weeks after the end of the Promotional Period in order to be contacted if you are selected as a winner.

6. Promotional Period: Submit your entry up to 23:59 on 31/08/24. Any entries received outside the promotional period will not be accepted.

7. To Enter Prize Draws: Follow Denhay on Instagram or Facebook, and share your favourite Denhay summer recipe favourites on any one of the promotional posts using the #BackBacon hashtag during the promotional period.

8. The Promoter monitors responses to this promotion and if any responses or any previous posts made by an entrant are, or could be regarded, as being disrespectful towards other members of the Facebook or Instagram community or which contain anything which is likely to or could cause offence or distress will be disqualified from the promotion. 9. Participants’ entries will be deemed invalid if any post:
- contains offensive defamatory, malicious, indecent or other inappropriate content;
- includes the names of any individual without their express permission;
- in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, cause any widespread or serious offence (taking into account prevailing community views or standards);
- contains content deemed socially irresponsible or likely to breach the CAP Code;
- Contains any content that could reflect negatively on the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner;
- Includes trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material not owned by the entrant or used without the right holder’s prior written permission (including famous names, company names, etc.);
- Defames, misrepresents, or contains content for the intended purpose of harassing, threatening or embarrassing individuals or multiple individuals or insults other people or companies, including, but not limited to the Promoter (including its partners);
- Promotes any political, blasphemous or religious agenda or any content deemed to incite religious hatred;
- Contains images of third parties who have not expressly consented to feature in promotion;
- Contains any images of children under the age of 18;
- Contains any form of tagging with the exception of @denhay
- Any Facebook or Instagram name or profile photograph which contravenes the above will be void, and any entries from such accounts will not count.

10. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.

11. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times or using a computer(s) to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

12. Incomplete, illegible, invalid or misdirected entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.

Winner Selection: Winners will be selected from all eligible entries received during the promotional period on 11th Jan at 11am. Winners will be chosen using a random number generator and will include eligible entries entered throughout the promotion. Draws will take place at 11am, 11:05am, 11:10am and 11:15am.

15. Winner Notification: Winners will be notified by the means they entered e.g. Instagram or Facebook by 09/09/24 by DM. The winners will be required to respond within 14 days of initial notification to confirm their acceptance of their prize and provide delivery address, email address and telephone number. In the event winners do not respond to 2 attempts to communicate within 14 days of initial contact, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and another winner will be selected using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat until an eligible winner is able to claim the prizes. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their connections during this time in case they are a winner. County of residence will be requested for the purpose of the winners list of no objection is received.

16. The Promoter will make available a list of winners’ surnames and counties of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. You may request a copy of the winners list by emailing [email protected] The Promoter reserves the right to refuse such requests.

17. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for proof of address and ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent). The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify entries deemed to be non-compliant with these terms and conditions and the Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to or disqualify any entrant whose conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the Promotion into disrepute. In the event of such disqualification the Promoter will endeavour award the applicable prize to another entrant. It is the responsibility of the winners to provide correct, up-to-date details on prize acceptance. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.

18. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

19. The winners will, at the Promoter’s request, be requested to participate in reasonable promotional activity surrounding the winning of the prizes, for no further consideration, and they will be requested to consent to the Promoter using their name and images in promotional material, which includes denhay.co.uk and social media.

20. The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. In the event for any reason a prize winner does not take an element of a prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. However, the Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

21. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
Numerous factors outside the control of the Promoter may interfere with the operation of Facebook and Instagram. The Promoter does not therefore guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to these websites.

22. The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram and Facebook. By entering the promotion, all participants accept that they have no claim against Facebook or Instagram. By entering the promotion, all participants agree to a complete liability release for Facebook and Instagram. You understand that by entering the competition you are providing your information to Denhay and not to these social media channels.
The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

23. You must comply with rules governing the use of Instagram and Facebook.

24. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

25. By entering this promotion you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

26. This promotion and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts unless you live in Scotland, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.

27. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with current Data Protection legislation.
